They’re going to promote a light-skinned person, and they provide a support system for a light-skinned individual. You can’t be too Black. You may get a promotion without money or a financial reward. Too Black; look at the color trend. They will say someone is too Black to be in the family. Too Black to represent. You don’t have to be as smart as a light-skinned person. If you’re Black, you don’t have a support system to lean on. It’s not about race. Male Preacher Quote

African American Superiority – Doing things to get you fired or get you to Quit

Superiority of Light-Skinned People

They will judge you based on color and outward appearance (light skin color). The Pharisee speaks more, while the Publican speaks less; the Pharisee was bragging, thinking he was superior. They automatically assume that you are wrong or that you will blunder. They assume that because you’re popular, they think they know everything. African Americans believe they are more superior to everyone. They make changes so they can blame you and portray you as not getting it. They do all these things to get you fired or to get you to quit. Male Preacher Quote

Dark-Skinned Blacks at the Footstool

The First Black to Be Given the Opportunity

It’s not the first black person; It’s the first Black person to be given an opportunity in leadership. Male Preacher Quote

If you are blacker or darker-skinned, you’re not going to be on the frontlines. If you are light-skinned, they choose you. If you associate with a Black person, they find a way to fire you. They may give you the job to show they’re not prejudiced, but they will have a meeting about you. They say that the black, dark-skinned women were not passing; they’re looking for light-skinned women. They find a reason to fail all the Black, dark-skinned women. There’s no room on the top floor for Black, dark-skinned women. Anytime you are Black (dark-skinned), you have a problem. – Male Preacher Quote.

Dark-Skinned – Under the Footstool

Some people act like they are helping him. They will give you and try to hide or mask their prejudice. They make it seem like they are not prejudiced. They are going to praise them until they reach a certain place. Then, the same person that pretends to hire you will send someone to firedismiss you. Male Preacher Quote

They (Black/African Americans) jump in front of you because they think they’re superior or more talented than you. They won’t give you anything to do; they think you’ll screw it up. Male Preacher Quote

Like Whites, Black/African Americans determine your ability from where you come from. They determine your ability from your skin color. If you come from Jamaica, they think you automatically know. They praise them to make them think they’re not prejudiced. Male Preacher Quote

Take advantage of them like you have no choice. Male Preacher Quote

On a recent television show, a resident from Charleston, South Carolina, told a story about black church life in Charleston in the fifties. The lighter-skinned blacks went to one church, the darker blacks went to another. They had what they called a “comb test.” If a comb went through the black person’s hair easily, he or she was accepted into the lighter-skinned congregation. EC

This kind of prejudice among blacks came from that same irritated heart of whites. The lighter-skinned blacks knew they were of mixed blood because they were part white. So they took on the feeling of the superiority of the whites, and their hearts became irritated, too. (EC)

(Many) black people are racists. They have color-consciousness that affects every decision they make in life, and they make decisions on the basis of color. (PR)

Superiority of Light-Skinned People

They automatically assume that you are wrong or that you will blunder. They assume that because you’re popular, they think they know everything. They may give you the job to show they’re not prejudiced, but they will have a meeting about you. On a recent television show, a resident from Charleston, South Carolina, told a story about black church life in Charleston in the fifties.

(EC)

These groups and societies are often characterized by women making major decisions, controlling property and wealth through female lineage, and sometimes serving as the foundation for communities built to support women who have experienced gender-based violence.

Key Characteristics or Attributes

Leadership: Women hold leadership positions and make major decisions for the group.

Inheritance: Property and wealth are often passed down through the female line.

Social Structure: In some societies, a matriarch heads the household, with lineage traced through her side of the family.

Community Support: Some groups are built to provide a supportive community for women, women-centered, possibly separatist, groups that focus on the concept of matriarchy and explicitly reject certain theological ideas such as “replacement theology.”

Matriarchy as an Alternative Model: Proponents of this view emphasize that “matriarchy” is not a reversal of patriarchy (female dominance over men), but rather a mother-centered, and often peaceful social structure based on maternal values and matrilineal kinship.

Women-Only Spaces: These movements often advocate for women’s-only groups or communities, or that women need exclusive spaces to explore female spirituality and authority.

Focus on Female Divinity/Matriarchal Order: Some beliefs within these movements propose a “matriarchal order” as the fundamental way of existence or focus on women in the Bible as important to worship and spiritual authority.

No Women Should Replace a Man

The King James Version (KJV) and other biblical translations do not endorse relacement theology in a general societal sense. However, several verses in the KJV are often interpreted, particularly in traditionalist perspectives, as outlining distinct gender roles that place restrictions on women holding positions of teaching or authority over men within the church.

Key passages used in these discussions include:

1 Timothy 2:12: “But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence”. This verse is a primary source for the view that women should not hold the office of pastor or elder, which involves teaching and having spiritual authority over men in the church.

1 Corinthians 14:34: “Let your women keep silence in the churches: for it is not permitted unto them to speak; but they are commanded to be under obedience, as also saith the law”.

1 Corinthians 11:3: “But I would have you know, that the head of every man is Christ; and the head of the woman is the man; and the head of Christ is God”. This is often interpreted as establishing a hierarchical structure or “headship” in the home and church, where the man has leadership responsibility.

Ephesians 5:22-24: “Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church”.

Complementarian view: This perspective holds that men and women are equal in worth and dignity but have distinct, God-given roles that are complementary. Men are called to lead in the church and home, while women are called to support and nurture within a different sphere of ministry (e.g., teaching other women and children).

Ultimately, how these scriptures are understood and applied to contemporary life, including roles in leadership or replacing men, depends on one’s specific theological framework and interpretation method.

Male Leadership / Male Preachers and Teachers

The “Titus 2 mandate” refers to a biblical passage (Titus 2:3–5) instructing older, mature Christian women to mentor and disciple younger women in a variety of life skills and spiritual maturity. In women’s-only groups, this creates a model where older women, sometimes referred to as “matriarchs,” provide guidance, accountability, and a spiritual example for younger women through informal one-on-one mentorship or organized group settings. This relationship is intended to foster godly living and strengthen faith, so that the younger women can, in turn, become mentors themselves.

The Titus 2 mandate in practice

Discipleship and mentorship: The core of the mandate is for older women to “train” and “encourage” younger women, building authentic relationships based on biblical teaching and shared life experiences.

Character development: Mentors guide younger women to develop godly character, such as being reverent, sensible, and pure, while also encouraging them to love their husbands and children.

Practical life skills: The mandate extends to practical areas like managing a household, creating a budget, and modeling hospitality, all within a framework of devotion to God.

Spiritual life and priorities: It encourages a focus on biblical priorities and a disciplined, self-controlled life, while also addressing struggles with temptation like gossip or anxiety.

The “matriarch” role in women’s groups

Spiritual guidance: The “matriarch” figure is an older, mature woman who leads by example and shares her wisdom, life lessons, and spiritual journey with the younger women in the group.

Accountability: The mentor-mentee relationship is a key component, providing a safe space for younger women to be honest about their struggles and receive accountability in their faith journey.

Passing on the baton: The goal is not just for younger women to receive mentorship but also to grow in their own faith so they can eventually become mentors themselves and continue the cycle.

Counter-cultural focus: This model is often seen as counter-cultural today, as it intentionally creates a space for older women to invest in younger women in a way that strengthens their faith and their roles within their families and the church, which brings glory to God.

“VIRGINITY” IN THE MARITAL SENSE. “Virginity” in the marital sense means never having had sex with anyone other than the person one is married to / MARITAL CHASTITY – METAPHORICAL VIRGINITY. Unknown

The statement is a matter of perspective, as a person is not a virgin in the (conventional) sense but is sexually exclusive to their spouse. The term “virgin” typically refers to someone who has never had sexual intercourse. However, in a marriage, the commitment to only have sex with one’s spouse is a key aspect of fidelity and exclusivity. This exclusive behavior can be seen as a metaphorical “virginity” within the context of marriage, as the married person maintains sexual purity with respect to anyone outside of that union.

Sexual exclusivity: The core concept is maintaining a sexual relationship exclusively with one’s spouse, which is the foundation of a monogamous marriage.

Fidelity: This exclusivity is an expression of fidelity. The idea of being “pure” in the context of marriage is maintained through commitment to one person only, according to the principles of many faiths.

Virginity vs. Exclusivity: While traditional virginity means never having had sex at all, “virginity” in the marital sense means never having had sex with anyone other than the person one is married to. This is a distinction of perspective and may not be universally understood.

The statement is a matter of perspective, as “virgin” is traditionally defined as never having had sexual intercourse, while a person who has only had sex with their spouse could be seen as having a unique form of “virginity” within their marriage. The definition of virginity is often tied to a person’s first sexual experience, but this perspective emphasizes the exclusivity of that experience to one’s spouse

Traditional definition: The word “virgin” typically refers to someone who has never had sexual intercourse.

Marital perspective: Some view virginity through the lens of exclusivity. In this sense, a person who has had sex only with their spouse might be considered a “virgin” to anyone else and a uniquely dedicated partner to their spouse.

Marital chastity: This idea is sometimes discussed in religious contexts, where having sex only with one’s spouse is seen as a form of marital fidelity and purity.

Individual interpretation: Ultimately, whether one views a person who has only been with their spouse as a “virgin” is a matter of personal interpretation and depends on how they define the term. Unknown

All office holders in the Old Testament church (e.g., priests, Levites) were males. All writers of Scripture were males. Every Apostle Jesus appointed was male. All office holders in the New Testament church (e.g., elders/bishops/deacons) were males. Dr. RF | LONG LIVE THE KING – JESUS, LORD OF LORDS; KING OF KINGS

MALE HEADSHIP IN THE BIBLICAL FAMILY

The Biblical concept of father and the authority of the father derive from the ontological Trinity.

God created mankind male and female, and He instituted the creation ordinance of marriage and family with male headship (Gn. 1:26-28; 2:18-25).

Since the pattern and authority of fatherhood derive from God, a human father’s authority is never absolute. God set moral limits on the father’s authority. Thus, children must never obey an immoral command (as defined by God’s word).

Therefore, the patriarchal family is not merely a man-made primitive sociological convention that may be discarded by moderns with impunity. Furthermore, all evolutionary views of Old Testament revelation and all views of societal evolution must be rejected by Biblically-consistent Christians.

MALE HEADSHIP IN THE CHURCH

All office holders in the Old Testament church (e.g., priests, Levites) were males. All writers of Scripture were males. Every Apostle Jesus appointed was male. All office holders in the New Testament church (e.g., elders/bishops/deacons) were males.

The Apostle Paul grounds male headship on: the interpersonal relationships in the Trinity; the creation order; the example in the fall of the deadly consequences when this created order is subverted; the explicit statement of God’s law; and the fact that the Apostle’s command is itself “the commandment of the Lord.” (1 Cor 11:3; 1 Timothy 2:11-15; 1 Cor 14:33b-37).

Because the church of Jesus Christ diligently obeyed Scripture with regard to male leadership in the church, it was not until the nineteenth century that women began to exercise any public ministry in church. It wasn’t until the nineteenth century, under the spell of the feminist movement, that major Protestant denominations began to accept women as regular preachers and pastors. In many cases, the leadership of these denominations was already in the hands of liberals who did not accept the full authority of the Bible as the inerrant Word of God.

Implications and applications of allowing female church leadership.

Word of God (i.e., the Bible)

It is logically impossible for individuals, churches, or denominations to foster and promote female church leadership (i.e., feminism or egalitarianism) while, in practice, adhering to the full authority, truthfulness, verbal inspiration, and inerrancy of the Bible as the written Word of God. (That is not to say that feminist churches or denominations cannot pay lip service to these non-negotiable, foundational doctrines, but their practice blatantly contradicts them.)

Churches can only practice feminism in a context of church ignorance of, or deliberate rejection of, Biblical doctrine and Biblical hermeneutics (i.e., how to properly interpret Scripture).

The church practice of feminism involves the exaltation of human (cultural or denominational) traditions over the written word of God, as Jesus accused the religious leaders of His day, who were “making the word of God of none effect through your tradition, which ye have delivered: and many such like things do ye” (Mark 7:13).

Family

It is logically impossible to reject the Bible’s teaching on male headship in the church while trying to maintain male headship in the home. They are based on the same created order.

Practicing female church leadership (i.e., feminism, egalitarianism) damages and drives out Biblical marriages and Biblical (patriarchal) families. It perverts young people’s understanding of the nature of the Biblical family, thereby harming their future marriages.

Church

Practicing female church leadership (i.e., feminism, egalitarianism) misrepresents God. Earthly fatherhood is to reflect or image God the Father (Eph 3:14-15). Male headship (i.e., authority) and female submission in the family and in the church image the headship-submission relationships within the Trinity and Christ’s headship over His church (1 Cor 11:3).

Culture

The embrace of feminism is a sign of an apostate church and a sign of a church and culture under God’s judgment (Is 3:12 in context).

The distinct, complementary roles of male and female, including male headship, are a creation ordinance that continues throughout human history. One cannot promote egalitarianism without overthrowing the created social order. When churches and culture reject and oppose God’s created order (and oppose Scripture) by embracing feminism, there is no logical reason for them to oppose homosexuality. There are numerous historical examples of churches and denominations progressing from embracing feminism to embracing homosexuality. The same hermeneutics used by feminism to justify feminism are used by homosexuals to justify sodomy. That is why embracing feminism implicitly promotes homosexuality (despite the loud protests of some egalitarian churches to the contrary).

In light of the carnage caused by feminism in the church, we must counsel Bible-believing Christians to leave feminist/egalitarian churches.

MALE HEADSHIP IN THE STATE

The state grew out of the patriarchal family

We have argued that both the church and the state grew out of the patriarchal family, which was a creation ordinance.

However, it is clear that some separation of family and state was established in the Old Testament.

Yet, the Old Testament Israel always maintained some relationship between the patriarchal family and the civil government. The elders at the city gate (the place where legal transactions and court rulings were made) were comprised of senior males from extended patriarchal households. The governing body of the clan was probably an assembly of elders from the elders of the extended families that comprised the clan. Thus, there is some connection between the patriarchal family and civil magistrates.

Elders in the state are male

In our study of male headship in the church, we have seen that the church is to be ruled by mature male elders. In Old Testament Israel, the state also were also ruled by mature male elders, who represented the people and adjudicated their disputes, working in conjunction with male kings, governors, etc. These elders were leaders taken from the patriarchal structure of society: the extended family (“father’s house”), the clan, and the tribe. Together, they constituted a form of government based on representation.

Biblical law teaches male headship in the state. 2 Corinthians 14:34-35, Exodus 18:21; Numbers 11:24-25; Deut 1:13; Deut 17:15-20

The rest of Scripture speaks of civil magistrates being men

Whenever Scripture addresses the subject of civil magistrates, it always does so in masculine terms, not in feminine terms, which is in harmony with creation and with Biblical law. Consider the following examples: 2 Samuel 23:3; 2 Chronicles 19:5-8; Nehemiah 7:2; Proverbs 31:23

The New Testament does not modify the Old Testament teaching regarding male civil magistrates; rather, it reaffirms it. Romans 13:4; 1 Cor 11:3

Women civil governmental leaders are a shame and a judgment, Isaiah 3:12

All biblical examples of women civil government leaders in Israel are evil (Jezebel and Athaliah)

A woman’s primary calling and ministry is her family, not the church or the state

However, the above verses do not teach that a woman’s family is her only responsibility. See Mt 6:33; 1 Timothy 5:10; 2:10; Ac 9:36, 39; Pr. 31:20)

Deborah did not rule over God’s people

She did not publicly teach God’s people; she did not function as a priest.

She did not lead the military campaign (as all “judges” in the book of Judges did), but insisted that Barak do it (4:6-7, 10, 12, 14-16, 22; Heb 11:32).

Prophets and prophetesses, in both Old and New Testaments, delivered messages from God, but their prophetic ministry gave them no governmental or teaching authority in either church or state. Deborah, like the prophetess Huldah (2 Ki 22:14-20), prohesied privately (Jdg. 4:6-7).

Any leadership Deborah displayed was as a passive [receptive] vehicle of revelation, which carries no more justification for a leadership position than Samuel’s prophecy in 1 Samuel 3 is a justification for three-year-old children ruling churches, or than the prophecy that Balaam’s donkey gave to him can provide a justification for donkeys to lead their masters.

Furthermore, contemporary prophets or prophetesses, unlike Deborah, do not speak the infallible word of the Lord. Thus, arguments based on Deborah can easily commit the logical fallacy of false analogy.

Deborah did not function as an elder or as a civil judge rendering decisions to adjudicate between disputing Israelites (despite Jdg 4:4-5)! She sat under her palm tree by her home (Jdg 4:5), not in the gates of a city, which was the seat of elders or judges (Dt 16:18; Ru 4:1-2; Pr. 31:23).

Egalitarians use many of the same arguments to justify female pastors and co-headship in the home that partial-complementarians use to justify female civil magistrates.

Queen Esther

Esther did not rule as a monarch, since all governmental authority rested with King Ahasueras.

After the deliverance of the Jews through Esther’s courage and influence, it was Mordecai, not Esther, who was raised to high political office and given authority to govern as a civil magistrate (Est 8:2, 9, 15; 9:4; 10:2-3).

CONCLUSION

The Bible consistently and without exception teaches male hierarchical priority in government in texts that address the issue. Men are to lead in family, church, state, and culture because God sovereignly decreed it to be so.

Male authority in the family, the church, and the state is founded on the order of creation (Gn. 2), and it is reinforced in both the fall (Gn. 3), and in redemption, as presented in both the Old and New Testaments.

God knows best. Throughout history, women have always been treated the best in those cultures more closely following Scripture.

The tragedy of the women’s rights movement was that, although it had serious wrongs to correct, it added to the problem… Instead of restoring women to their rightful place of authority beside man, women’s rights became feminist: it put women in competition with men. It led to the masculinization of women and feminization of men, to the unhappiness of both.

Because men are created to lead in family, church, state, and culture, and women are created to support male leadership, men’s and women’s rebellion against God take opposite forms. Men rebel against God by abdicating their leadership responsibilities in family, church, state, and culture, being passive as Adam was in the Garden of Eden when Satan tempted Eve. Women rebel against God by usurping male leadership (cf. God’s statement to Eve, “I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children; and thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee.” (Of course, men can also sin against God by leading in an abusive, lawless, self-centered, haughty manner.) Men, in their rebellion against God, are all too willing to allow and even to promote women usurping the man’s God-given responsibility and authority to lead. Dr. Robert F.

We concur with the conclusion of JBD: CONCLUSION: Paul is speaking of human relationships at all levels; he is describing a hierarchy of men in general over women in general. … First Corinthians 11:3 is a foundational verse, and any attempt to define the role of women in ministry that fails to take it into consideration is bound to be flawed. This verse represents the underlying principle for Paul’s theology relative to male-female role relationships… There is no justifiable reason to confine male headship to the home and/or church only. Men are to be the authoritative leaders in every area where human relationships are involved. What is being described might be termed a “patriarchal society.” We believe this is one of the unavoidable implications of 1 Cor. 11:3… What is applicable in the home and Church [i.e., male headship] is necessarily applicable in society… Paul’s theology requires the faithful Church to teach that males are to function as governors in the home, the church, and the community… To suggest that male headship is comparable to Christ’s leadership… only in the house and church is exegetically indefensible. A man, just by virtue of his manhood, is called to lead for God. A woman, just by virtue of her womanhood, is called to help for God.

1. The Chronological sequence: Adam was created first, then Eve (Gn. 2:7, 18-23; 1 Tim. 2:13).

1 Timothy 2:12-13 King James Version: 12 But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence. 13 For Adam was first formed, then Eve.

In this passage, the Apostle Paul-writing under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit (2 Tim 3:16), appeals to the historical facts of the creation account (specifically, the chronological sequence of God’s creative acts in Gn 2) to teach male headship, resulting from teaching or having authority over men in the church. Significantly, the chronological order of the creation of man and woman predates God giving Eve to Adam as his wife. Thus, Genesis 2-as interpreted by the Apostle Paul in 1 Timothy 2 (who applies it to all men and all women in the church)-applies to men and women in general, not merely to husbands and wives. (This passage will be discussed under the heading “Male headship in the church.”

The representation: Adam, not Eve (nor Adam and Eve together), had a special role in representing the human race as covenant head (1 Cor 15:22. 45-49; Rom 5:12-21) (note: ” in Adam” [1 Cor. 15:22] being contrasted with “in Christ,” and Adam being a “type” of Christ [Ro 5:14]). Again, this precedes and is broader than just the marriage relationship; it is also broader than just men and women in the church.

3. The name of woman: Adam named Eve; Eve did not name Adam (Gn 2:23).

Genesis 2:23: 23 And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man.

In Scripture (as was the case throughout the ancient Near East), the authority to name implies the (already-existing) authority to govern. Throughout human history, in the marriage covenant, the husband renames his bride, giving her his family name (Is. 4:11).

4. The naming the human race: God named the human race “Man”/”Mankind” (Gn 5:2). God did not name the human race “Woman”/”Womankind” or even “Human”/”Humankind.”

He created them male and female, and blessed them and called them Mankind/”Man” in the day they were created.

The passage refers to the original creation, prior to the fall. Note that the name God gave the human race, man/mankind, applies to all men and women, not just to husbands and their wives.

In light of God’s naming “Mankind,” why do so many Bible-believing Christians (including Christian scholars and Christian publishers) capitulate to gender-neutral language, such as “humankind?” They are, in effect, renaming the human race! In rejecting the same God gave them, are they not implicitly rejecting God’s dominion or Lordship over them, and are they not implicitly claiming to be a higher authority than God, who named them in the first place?

5. The primary accountability: God called Adam to account first after the fall (Gn. 3:9; cf. 2:15-17). Subsequent Scripture reaffirms the fall of mankind with Adam’s sin (Ro. 5:12, 17-19). Contrast God’s action toward Adam with Satan’s temptation in the Garden of Eden, when Satan circumvented the God-created order of male headship, dealing directly with Eve (Gn 3:1).

6. The purpose: Eve was created to be Adam’s helper, not Adam to be Eve’s helper (Gn 2:18; 1 Cor 11:9).

Genesis 2:18 KJV: And the Lord God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him.

1 Corinthians 11:9 King James Version: Neither was the man created for the woman; but the woman for the man.

Female humanity was crafted out of male humanity, and was created to be man’s helper-even prior to God giving Eve to Adam to be his wife. God created the woman to be “a helper,” who assists her husband fulfill God’s dominion calling for his life (v. 15; 1:26-28). Thus, a woman realizes her highest destiny as a wife when she is a godly helper to her man, as Old Testament scholar EJ Young notes: “There is a divinely imposed subordination here. The woman is to be help to the man, and she realizes her highest destiny when she is a help to to the man.

7. The conflict: The curse on Adam and Eve brought a distortion of their previous roles, not the introduction of new roles (Gn. 3:16).

The curse resulting from the fall made painful what had been good and natural (including a wife’s subordination to her husband”). Now, there would be pain in tilling the ground, pain in bearing children, and pain and conflict in men’s and women’s relationship (Gn. 3:16). Now women have an inner depraved desire to rebel against male authority and undermine it, and to manipulate and rule over men-in family, church, and state (which is the meaning of “desire” in Gn 3:16 and 4:7). The fall reinforced the need to uphold the God-ordained creation under (1 Tim 2:12-14; Gn 3:1-6).

8. The restoration: Salvation in Christ in the New Testament reaffirms the creation order, instructing wives to willingly submit to their own husbands (Eph 5:22-24 “in everything”) Col 3:18-19; 1 Tim 2:11-15; tit 2″5; 1 Pt 3:1-6; cf. 1 Cor 11:3), to be obedient to their own husbands (Tit 2:5; 1 Pt 3:6), and to reverence to their own husbands (Eph 5:33; 1 Peter 3:2). The husband is exhorted to love his wife. Thus, salvation in Christ reinforces and restores the created order: loving male headship and voluntary female submission to that headship. (We will examine these verses under the heading “Male headship in the Biblical family.”)

9. The mystery: Marriage from the beginning of creation was a picture of the relationship between Christ and the church (Eph 5:31-32, 23).

For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body. Ephesians 5:23
King James Version

Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh. Genesis 2:24
King James Version

For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh. This is a great mystery: but I speak concerning Christ and the church. Ephesians 5:31-32

Note that Christ’s headship of His church transcends all human cultures, and it is unalterable. Thus, loving male headship (which images Christ’s headship over His Church) and willing reverent female submission and responsiveness to that leadership (which images the church’s relationships with Christ) transcend all human cultures, and they are unalterable.

10. The parallel with the Trinity: But I would have you know, that the head of every man is Christ; and the head of the woman is the man; and the head of Christ is God. 1 Corinthians 11:3
King James Version

Authority and submission between the Father and the Son, and between Father and Son, and the Holy Spirit, is …the fundamental difference between the persons of the Trinity. They don’t differ in any attributes, but only in how they [eternally] relate to each other. Thus, headship and submission did not begin with the Apostle Paul, or with ancient patriarchal Israel, or with the fall (Gn 3), or even with creation (Gn 2). Headship and submission are eternal. Furthermore, the Trinity conclusively proves that equality of person is fully compatible with authority-submission relationships (contra feminist propaganda).

11. The woman’s source. Eve was created “out of Adam (Gn 2:21-23; 1 Cor 11:8).

For the man is not of the woman: but the woman of the man. 1 Corinthians 11:8. On the basis of woman’s source (*for this reason,” 1 Cor. 11:10) the Apostle Paul argues that all women’s dress in worship must demonstrate their submission to God’s creation order. Again, the relevance and the implications of the creation fact of woman being created from man applies to all men and to all women, not just to married couples.

12. The glory: Man “is the…glory of God: but the woman is the glory of the man.” (1 Cor 11:7).”

For a man indeed ought not to cover his head, forasmuch as he is the image and glory of God: but the woman is the glory of the man. 1 Cor 11:7 KJV. This applies to all men and women, not just to husbands and wives (see the section on “Headcoverings: in the church.) Dr. FG

LS: The Fall did not introduce headship—it tested it. And Adam failed. He allowed his wife to be deceived and did not intervene. He listened to her voice instead of God’s (Genesis 3:17), and in doing so, he betrayed the very order God had established.

This dominion was not an optional assignment—it was the necessary outcome of man’s design. Because man was created to image the masculine God we serve, he must rule. The God he imagines is not passive, permissive, or reactive—He is sovereign, initiating, commanding, and judging. Therefore, the man who images Him must reflect these same qualities in his domain. Dominion is not merely what man does—it is what man is. Man does not exercise dominion to oppress, but to imitate. He exercises dominion not to glorify himself, but to glorify God by reflecting His character and order into the world. Masculine dominion is worship.

Adam was not off in the garden somewhere, unaware of what was happening. He was with her—and said nothing. He did not step in. He did not interrupt the serpent. He did not correct his wife. He did not rebuke her for engaging in spiritual conversation with an enemy of God. He stood by passively as the head and master of his home watched the serpent undermine God’s Word. This was the original sin of weakness. Adam failed to lead. He failed to protect. He failed to exercise the dominion God had given him. He had been given Eve to rule and guide, and in that crucial moment, he let her take the lead—and plunged all mankind into sin.

The Pattern Repeats This pattern of male passivity and female rebellion has echoed throughout history. When men refuse to lead, women step into roles they were never designed to fill. The result is confusion, chaos, and destruction.

A master is not defined by cruelty but by governance. A husband, as master of his wife, is commanded to teach her (Ephesians 5:26), correct her (Titus 2:5 by implication), and set expectations for her behavior, dress, homemaking, and sexuality (1 Corinthians 7:4, Song of Solomon). His authority is not tyrannical—but it is real. It includes the power to rebuke and to expect compliance. This is dominion, and it is biblical.

Woman was Created to Be Ruled. This truth offends modern sensibilities, but the Bible is clear: woman was made to be ruled by man. After the fall, God declared in Genesis 3:16: “…and thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee.” This was not a curse—it was a reaffirmation of the order that already existed, now necessary in a fallen world.

Ezer in the Bible Does Not Prove Equality Some defenders of the “equal partner” view point out that ezer is used of God in verses like Psalm 33:20: “Our soul waiteth for the Lord: he is our help and our shield.” They argue that since God is described as an ezer, it must be a position of strength and equality. But this is a category error. When God helps man, He does so from a position of supremacy, not equality. God condescends to help us; He is not our peer. Likewise, when woman was made as man’s ezer, she was not elevated to his level of headship—she was assigned the role of assistant, supporter, and subordinate. A Helper Is Not a Partner Scripture never calls woman man’s partner. It calls her his wife, his help, his weaker vessel, his glory, and his possession—but never his equal or his partner. The word “partner” is entirely foreign to the biblical marriage model.

Both men were masculine. One ruled by the sword, the other by the scroll. True masculinity may look different depending on a man’s gifts, but it always includes leadership, responsibility, dominion, and courage.

Rejecting Effeminate and Passive Men The Bible condemns effeminacy in men. “Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived… nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind” (1 Corinthians 6:9). God expects men to be masculine—not soft, passive, or like women. When men abandon their masculine role, families crumble and society decays. Isaiah warned of a cursed time when “children are their oppressors, and women rule over them” (Isaiah 3:12). When men stop ruling, women take over—and the results are disastrous.

Likewise, veiling is not reserved for married women only. It is for all women who worship the Lord. A single woman is still under male authority—whether that of her father, a male relative, or her pastor. A widow or a woman who has dedicated herself to celibate ministry still symbolizes her place in God’s order by wearing a covering in church. Her veil is a visual sermon that she honors God’s chain of authority and does not act autonomously. Some might point to women prophesying in 1 Corinthians 11 as proof they may lead public worship. But Scripture interprets Scripture. Paul writes in 1 Timothy 2:11–12 and 1 Corinthians 14:34–35 that women are to be silent in the churches and not to teach or usurp authority over men. The prophesying in 1 Corinthians 11 refers to women teaching other women (as seen in Titus 2:3–5), not public exhortation in mixed assemblies.

The feminist movement took formal shape in 1848 at the Seneca Falls Convention. Led by Elizabeth Cady Stanton and Lucretia Mott, the Declaration of Sentiments declared that “all men and women are created equal,” and demanded the right of women to vote, own property, and live free from “oppression.” What they called oppression was, in truth, God-ordained order. Stanton herself was a fierce critic of the Bible, particularly its commands for female submission. She edited The Woman’s Bible to remove what she called the “injurious” parts.

Adams recognized a fundamental truth that has been largely forgotten in the modern world: if men do not exercise dominion over women, women will eventually exercise dominion over men.

The fruits of this rebellion were predictable. Divorce rates skyrocketed. Birthrates declined. Homosexuality and transgender ideology crept into the public square. The feminine rebellion against male dominion was not just political—it was moral and spiritual.

The Consequences of Feminine Rule Whenever women are allowed to rule over men—whether in homes, churches, or nations—the results are destructive. Isaiah 3:12 laments: “As for my people, children are their oppressors, and women rule over them. O my people, they which lead thee cause thee to err, and destroy the way of thy paths.” The warning is not just cultural but covenantal. A society that puts women in charge is under judgment.

The Rise of Christian Egalitarianism The feminist revolutions of the 1960s and 1970s didn’t just reshape secular culture—they invaded the Church. Out of that infiltration was born Christian Egalitarianism, a theological repackaging of feminist ideology. It taught that men and women were not only equal in value but also in function—interchangeable in the home, church, and society. Headship was recast as mutual submission. Authority was flattened into cooperation. The clear, hierarchical structure of Scripture was replaced with a horizontal partnership model rooted in modern sentiment, not divine order. Egalitarianism denied the creation order of Genesis 2. It disregarded Paul’s clear teachings in 1 Timothy 2, Ephesians 5, and 1 Corinthians 11. It

The Female Imperative: Biblical or Not? The Red Pill teaches that women are driven by hypergamy—always seeking the strongest, highest-status man they can attract. According to this view, women will constantly test, challenge, and even abandon their current partner if they believe they can “trade up.” Genesis 3:16 confirms the essence of this claim: “Thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee.”

According to God’s Word, it is a primary duty and divine assignment. In 1 Timothy 5:14, the Apostle Paul lays out God’s will for young women: they are to marry, bear children, and guide the house. These are not social customs or cultural norms. They are commands from God for all generations.

A Christian man should not be ashamed of how often he thinks about sex. He should not feel guilt for being aroused by the female form or imagining what intimacy with a woman would be like as his wife. These longings are not lust—they are the function of God-given sexual desire. Sin is not in the desire. Sin is in the direction.

For centuries, Christian leaders taught that sex should only be for procreation. If a man’s wife was already pregnant or past childbearing age, they taught that sexual relations should cease altogether. Pleasure was suspect, and desire itself was condemned. Clement of Alexandria (c. 150–215 AD) explicitly rejected the legitimacy of sexual pleasure in marriage:

But the Word of God never taught such things. Sex is not unholy. Pleasure is not evil. Marriage is not a concession—it is a glory. And God calls what happens in the marriage bed not only lawful, but pure.

Provide “But if any provide not for his own, and specially for those of his own house, he hath denied the faith, and is worse than an infidel.” (1 Timothy 5:8) Provision is not an optional expression of love—it is a defining mark of Biblical manhood. A husband who does not take responsibility for providing for his household has not merely failed his wife—he has, according to Scripture, denied the faith. He is worse than an unbeliever.

Provision includes more than money. It includes stability. It includes planning. It includes a willingness to work undesirable jobs when necessary to fulfill this duty. It does not demand luxury—but it demands effort. God calls a man to make provision, not excuses.

The solution to abuse is not to weaken a man’s authority or discourage his exercise of dominion. The solution is to call men to righteous dominion—dominion that images Christ’s rule over His church. God calls a man to exercise dominion over his wife. He is to govern her, direct her, and rule over her in love. The issue is not whether he dominates, but whether he does so in a selfish or a godly manner. LS
